4/26/04 Owens Illinois Job, Tracy California: Dear Doyle, Here are some pictures we took of a 23000# lift made up of a structural steel building, set atop of a waiting framework on a roof over a glass furnace. The Ironworkers were from Oakland Local 378, the Operators were from Local#3. The 300ton crane was very busy for 12 days with ZERO accidents. The men are Jim Duff, iron worker forman, Ray Overcash, Dean Koenig, Trinidad Espindola. Not shown, Robert Jennings, Dan Koenig, Destry Richardson, IWGF of Illinois Dan Hudson, Dan McCoy. I hope you enjoy our Safe Lift! There were five sons of Ironworkers on this lift. Best Regards, Jim Duff |

| Suggestion: use this as an incentive to help promote safe lifts. I've never met a person that didn't like to have a pat on the back, a great big atta-boy or some sort of recognition for a job well done. I'm sure most of you already take photos of your high profile lifts. Well, take one more. After the lift is safely completed, get everyone that had a part in it in front of that camera. Send the group photo with your THUMBS UP lift and we'll post the group photo too. |
