About Dead Links

| Dead Link | — means the URL was moved, changed, deleted, or possibly archived and is no longer available for immediate access through the referenced link originally established.

It appears that keeping material available for future reference is not a priority or important to all Website owners. It is especially disappointing to realize that future generations will not have access to the material.

Dead links are disgusting, frustrating, and very disappointing to say the least, but we have no control over how long other sites keep their material available.
Once we discovered the Link Rot problem we started saving a Cached Copy of the referenced link(s), when possible. If you encounter a Dead Link use the | Cache Copy | feature.
Like yesterday's news on TV, Radio, newspaper and most other news media, it is here today, gone tomorrow.

Sorry, the dead links are not our doing. If you want to stay abreast of things, check the site daily. Save what you want to keep to your hard drive, print it, or whatever.... Sadly, we live in a "throw-a-way" society.
Chasing link rot is a time consuming, ongoing task. Our agenda is to build a perpetual database that will be here for your perusal and that of future generations. Some of the media we get our information from, evidently, has another agenda, which seems to be 'Flash News' (here today – gone tomorrow).

In view of the fact that Webmasters will abandon or move page links from their original locations, trying to keep up with dead or moved page links became a time consuming, overwhelming, and costly task we had to discontinue.

As a service to our subscribers: If you do encounter a dead link, and are sincerely interested in seeing the relative material, contact us and we'll see if we can help get the information to you, or tell you where to find it yourself. However, you MUST provide a reference to the page you were on when you discovered the dead link (give us all of the details you can) such as the referenced date, possibly the link title, or some key words for the dead link.

Note: There are instances when we do miss saving some of the data, or references of where to find it may have changed since we made the original link or post. We make NO guarantees.

Legend
www.domainname.com A line through the URL or [Dead Link] means the link is now dead or moved.

Something to remember: Once a link is removed from a site, in all likelihood it is probably deleted rather than archived. In other words, it is probably gone forever, unless someone saved it.
