Accident Investigation — Research Sources
Repository

Top Priority Media Source.

The combined power of CraneAccidents.com, CraneTalk.com, the CraneTalk.com Bulletin Board, rates them as top priority sources of useful information for crane related queries.

A Webtrends analysis of our log files for the month of January 2004 recorded 1,495,786 successful hits for this site.

Many of the leading representatives of the construction industry such as, crane professionals, crane consultants, crane maintenance professionals, manufacturers, contractors, legal professionals, accident investigators, training school instructors, as well as some of the best crane operators in the world subscribe to our Exclusive Services and visit our sites daily. If we don't already have the answer in our Repository, we have the capability of reaching out to thousands of our visitors with this powerful medium. In all likelihood we already have what you are looking for.

Printed Material, Books, Pamphlets, etc.

As funds are available, we are building a library of printed material. If you have books, pamphlets, or other printed material you would like to contribute to the library, please contact us before sending to avoid duplications.

Public Records...

Some, not all, of the accident reports we have listed may reference or link to public records. The public records may contain content such as various types of accident reports including, but not limited to, police reports, emergency medical service (EMS) reports, fines levied, penalties, warnings, lawsuits, injunctions, prior state, federal, or private investigations, inspections, complaints, O.S.H.A. reports, news articles, depositions, trial testimony, and more.

Referencing, linking, or citing existing public records is not meant as an act of slander, libel, embarrassment, defamation, or done with malicious intent toward any company or individual. It is simply meant as a time saving convenience for our subscribers, after all, the information is already available to the general public. We've just picked the time consuming research work out for our subscribers.

We DO NOT single out, or in any way target specific companies, individuals, or accident reports for inclusion of public records.

Many times we do not have a clue about who or what to look for when the names of those involved in a particular accident are not referenced or otherwise made available to us. As a result, many of the accidents listed will not have any public records available. Others may be in the research process or delayed because of a lack of time to do the research.

Legal Library...

As time and finances allow, we will eventually build a legal library second to none. Legal Professionals and accident investigators will find the service very useful and time saving. Before the latter can happen, we need potential users of these services to get behind this work in progress with some financial support. Surely some of you who anticipate using our services are willing to help support our efforts by advertising with us.

Lawsuit: Aetna v. Marion Equipment Co. (5/19/95), 894 P 2d 664

Pending Legislation:

Expert Witnesses...

We are now soliciting more names for our database of Expert Witnesses for cranes and rigging.

Records Repository...

A treasure cove of historical data for machinery; maintenance records, factory recalls, and other sources of valuable information that is far beyond the reach of professional legal researchers or paralegals. Most is not available anywhere on the Internet.

Insiders Network (essential to checking the "Pocket Parts" of a legal research.)

Mr. Peeks "Insiders Network" is a valuable source of friends, professional colleagues, highly qualified crane operators, master mechanics, supervisors, and other professionals of the trades accumulated throughout a career spanning more than half-a-century in the construction industry.

History
Accident History/Lawsuit History/Crane History/Operator Qualifications… are just a few things you should look into before you rent a crane. You wouldn't want to rent a crane that may fail because of a mechanical problem like the one shown here.

Private Photo Album

A collection of exclusive crane accident photos. Many of the photos are not on the Web, and probably never will be.

Mr. Peeks has been on the Web since 1994 and has accumulated a large collection of book-marked sites, (favorites) and other trusted sources of valuable information too numerous to list here.

Rates: Several factors are used to determine how much we charge for special services. We take into consideration who is requesting our services. If the request is from an advertiser, credits are given if the advertiser contributes heavily, or minimally, toward the financial support of our work, pays for services rendered in a timely manner and other factors we think should warrant discounted rates are considered.

Another factor we consider is, how much support the requester contributes toward the building of this work. We have some who contribute lots of good useful material to this work, very frequently. Naturally, if they are also a top, contributing advertiser, they will get a larger reduction in rates, or possibly pay no fee at all for our service.

Longevity, is also a factor. Those who get on board early and help get this service up and running will also get special consideration and discounts.
